WHAT IS THE NDIS?
The NDIS or, National Disability Insurance Scheme, is a scheme developed by the Australian Government. The NDIS is designed to fund eligible people with disabilities, gain greater independence, access new skills, jobs, volunteer, spend more time with friends and family, and just gain a better quality of life. Under the NDIS, Care Plans are provided. These plans are specific to your goals, aspirations and supports required. Each plan is between 1-3 years in length, and changes with you and your life.
CAN I CHANGE PROVIDERS?
You most certainly can! Each participant has the right to choose other providers. Information surrounding the change or transition, is generally stipulated within a service agreement, and / or organisational policies and procedures. Check this prior to changing.

DO YOU OFFER OTHER SUPPORTS?
Due to being a relatively new organisation, we currently only offer the services mentioned on our services page. These are:
- Community Participation
- Assistance with Daily Living
- Short Term Accommodation (Inc. Respite)
- House and Yard Maintenance
- Transportation.
However, we are growing rapidly and endeavor on expanding into other areas of NDIS supports in the near future.

WHAT TYPE OF SUPPORTS DOES NDIS FUNDING COVER
Under an NDIS plan, funding is allocated under three catagories. All services and supports fall under these three categories:
Core: Core Supports help you with daily living activities, your current disability-related needs and to work towards your goals. Your Core Supports budget is the most flexible, and in most cases, you can use your funding across any of the four sub-support categories.
Capacity Building: Capacity Building Supports help build your independence and skills. Therapy supports, transportation and in home supports are evident under this category. Unlike your Core Supports budget, your Capacity Building Supports budget cannot be moved from one support category to another.
Capital: Capital Supports include higher-cost pieces of assistive technology, equipment and home or vehicle modifications. This category can also include funding for one-off purchases you may need (including Specialist Disability Accommodation).
At present, the supports offered at ACHIEVE DISABILITY SERVICES PTY LTD, are all covered under the category: Core.
